Dustin F. Von Ruden is a co-founder of Von Ruden & Nix, S.C., and represents
clients in a wide range of real estate development, business transaction, financing,
contract and general corporate governance matters. He devotes an extensive amount
of his practice to all phases of commercial real estate development and transactions,
including sales and acquisitions, leasing, financing, property management, construction,
zoning and land use, and entity formation matters.
In addition to his real estate practice, Dustin provides advice and representation
on a variety of business transaction, merger and acquisition, corporate governance,
banking/finance, and contract matters to banking and financial institutions, private
companies, contractors, manufacturing entities, telecommunications companies, entrepreneurs,
rural cooperatives and agricultural businesses. Dustin is licensed to practice
law in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Dustin grew up on a dairy farm in the Driftless Area of southwest Wisconsin, and in
his free time enjoys spending time with his family and introducing his children to
the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and high golf scores.

Garrett is a partner and co-founder of Von Ruden & Nix, S.C.
Garrett grew up on a farm outside of Osseo, Wisconsin, graduating
from Osseo-Fairchild in 2005. He received an undergraduate degree
from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in Economics,
while also playing baseball and serving as a captain of the UW-Stevens
Point baseball team. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Garrett
continued his education at Marquette University Law School, where he
received his Juris Doctorate in 2012.
With a focus on business, real estate and estate planning practice areas,
Garrett is experienced in providing a range of legal services. Garrett
serves as general counsel to several businesses, assisting with business
formation, mergers and acquisitions, and day-to-day operational issues.
In addition to his business and transactional practice, he provides counsel
to individuals on matters relating to estate planning, including the preparation
of wills, trusts, and related documents. While Garrett provides services to
all types of estate planning clients, he has a focus on assisting clients with
business succession planning, including farming clients and small business owners
looking to transition to the next generation.
Garrett also has developed skills in the niche areas of municipal and
cooperative law, which each pose unique challenges requiring specialized
knowledge. He serves as city/village/town attorney to several area municipal
entities, assisting with open meetings/records compliance, development
agreements, and other challenges municipal entities encounter.
He also serves as general counsel to multiple cooperative entities
in a variety of industries (ag supply, utility, and financial), providing
legal guidance as to cooperative specific legal issues.
Garrett resides in Osseo with his wife and two children. He is active in
several community organizations, currently serving as the President of the
Osseo Merchants Baseball Organization and Vice-President of the Osseo Golf
Club. When not at the office, he can typically be found on the golf course,
in a tree, or on the lake, enjoying the outdoors.

Stephen J. Huebscher is a business attorney and joined the firm in September, 2020.
He handles a wide variety of legal matters, including business and real estate transactions,
contract drafting and negotiation, foreclosure and collections matters, and general corporate
consulting. He also maintains a litigation practice with experience in easement and boundary
disputes, along with a variety of other issues.
Prior to joining Von Ruden & Nix, S.C., he worked at a law firm in Rice Lake, Wisconsin,
for over seven years representing businesses and individuals, with a focus on litigation,
insurance law, and real estate matters.
Outside of practicing law, Stephen enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking, and brewing beer.
